Short term mission trips for individual young people.

Jon Bowen  a young man who was part of our church who joined Gary and Susan for a short time (4 months) during his 'gap year'. He served on the Africa Mercy in Liberia. He went in late April and returned in September. He worked 84 hours a fortnight as an assistant cook and dining room steward. When not on the rota he helped with projects in community development such as well digging and clinic soon recovered and soon became fully into life on the ship. In September 2004 on his return he gave a most interesting presentation on all he had learnt and done. Perhaps we may be able to display some of his photos on this site at some future date.

Catrin Adey another young person from our church lived and worked in Rouen in Northern France with BMS from the autumn of 2008 till the spring of 2009. She went for a month of training during September 2008 and was in France from October 2008 untill Easter 2009. When she returned she travelled round the country with the rest of her team giving presentations about her experiences for about 6 weeks.
